Leah Lu studied journalism at Biola University in California. She interned at The Brooklyn Paper and is now a Social Media Editor and IndieWire.
NYCJ was my first introduction to life in New York City, where I’ve long aspired to end up someday. It also gave me my first real look at and experiences in the “real world” of media and journalism. The courses I took during the program along with the internship I held at a local newspaper taught me invaluable skills that I’ve carried with me through my following internships and into my first post-grad job. The professors and mentors at NYCJ are wonderful resources and care about preparing their students for their careers. I’m grateful for the experience!
